Renewed Energy and Motivation for Spring!

Last year taught us a lot about what works and what definitely doesn’t. Selling handmade soap during Norway’s humid, wet, and chilly weather turned out to be quite the challenge. And those rare, beautiful summer days (yes, we did get a few!) came with their own lesson when our beeswax lip balms melted in the unexpected heat.

Despite the learning curve, the markets brought something even more valuable: community. Along the way we made many wonderful connections with customers and fellow small business owners. While technically we are competitors, we often found ourselves quietly cheering each other on. Norway is a small country, and building a small independent business here, especially alongside large corporations is no small achievement.
